| Having led the fundraising for the £5 million ARK since 1996, I would like to personally thank all the many hundreds of individuals and organisations whose generosity made it possible and who continue to support us. |

| With your help we have created an exceptional centre, where the ARK’s five-star education and training facilities are making a real difference to the progress of medical treatment, research and patient support. Since opening in 2002, we have achieved national impact in many areas and in particular for live-link surgical cancer teaching, knee arthroscopy, cardiac catheterisation and emergency care training. |

| The ARK facilitates education through partnerships with many NHS, public, private sector and charitable bodies. It remains independent and charitably owned and has to generate income and profitable activity to survive and move forward. |
|
|
| The ARK Centre’s success, with over 80,000 delegate visits p.a., brings with it both challenges and opportunities. We now need more space to expand our medical initiatives. We constantly seek to improve the technology and fabric of the building and maintain our sponsorship for the many patient support groups who have a home in the ARK. |
