1. What is the cost of DDR?
This depends on your event’s requirements.
2. What is included in the DDR package?
Our standard DDR includes:
- Facility hire
- Data Projector, screen, laptop and one flipchart stand (pens and paper included)
- 3 x servings of tea/coffee/biscuits
- Your choice of buffet lunch menu
- Pens, paper, tent card and sweets for all delegates
- Still and sparkling water
- Car parking
However, please note that we tailor the event to suit your personal needs, and additional requirements can be added to your DDR.
3. What is the cost of hiring a room?
Room sizes vary, therefore price depends on the room chosen.
4. How many delegates can you accommodate?
We can accommodate bookings from 2 – 220 in a single room. Our largest room, the Squire Lecture Theatre, can accommodate 220+ delegates in theatre style seating. We also have a number of interconnecting rooms which can open out to support larger groups. In addition, we can remotely connect rooms via conference link. Please discuss your individual needs with our Sales Team.
5. Do the rooms have natural daylight?
Most of the Ark rooms have natural daylight.
6. Do the rooms have air conditioning?
All rooms are individually air controlled.
7. Do you have free on-site car parking for delegates?
Yes.
8. Can we have a working lunch served in the room?
We pride ourselves on our flexibility and offer a variety of menus for you to choose from. Catering is normally served in our Pavilion, or immediately outside your room, but if requested, lunch can be served within the room, space permitting.
9. Do you have secretarial services?
Secretarial services can be provided at an appropriate charge.
10. Do you have AV/IT support?
Yes, we have two full-time members of staff on hand to offer technical support. If you require exclusive use of technical support throughout your event, there will be a charge.
11. Do you have accommodation?
There are a number of hotels in Basingstoke, including one directly opposite the Conference Centre. Please ask your Event Organiser who may be able to agree a preferential rate for your delegates.
12. Is the Ark Conference Centre open evenings and weekends.
We can accommodate bookings during weekends and evenings. Minimum numbers will apply.
13. What is the minimum number for DDR?
Our minimum number for DDR is 15. We are happy to quote for rooms, catering and all other requirements for groups of less than 15.
14. Can we choose which room we are allocated?
Yes.
15. Do you have breakout/syndicate rooms?
Yes, we have a variety of rooms available.
16. Can we come and see the venue before committing to our booking?
You are welcome to visit the Ark at any time that we are open. Please discuss this with our Sales team, who will arrange a time to suit you, when the rooms are available to view.
17. Is the venue accessible for disabled persons?
Yes, our car park is immediately opposite the building and has disabled spaces. There are no steps leading to the Ark Conference Centre. We have a lift to all floors and disabled toilets are located on the ground floor. |
