| Key ARK Supporter: DINWOODIE (1968) Settlement |
| At the beginning of 1992 we were approached by the Trustees of the Dinwoodie (1968) Settlement whose initial enthusiasm encouraged us a great deal in the development of the idea. They committed their support to the Appeal in guaranteeing £1 Million (UK Pounds). |
| Walter Dinwoodie was a very talented engineer who specialised in the use of explosives and quarry development. Before his death, he and his wife settled mineral deposits that they had purchased in Staffordshire in Trust. The income produced by these and other assets of their Charitable Trust is used to assist the medical profession in enhancing opportunities in England for postgraduate medical education. The Dinwoodie (1968) Settlement is a major contributor to the development of independently controlled Postgraduate Medical Education Centres and examples are to be found in Chichester and Stafford. Their continued support has been and remains of inestimable benefit in driving the ARK Project forward. |
